Copper castings refer to all metal parts formed by melting copper-based alloys into liquid, pouring the molten metal into customized molds and cooling for solid forming. The complete manufacturing process follows standardized metallurgical operation standards.First, copper ingots and matching alloy raw materials are heated to melting temperature inside furnaces, with deoxidation and impurity removal carried out to eliminate oxides and dissolved gas in the liquid metal. Then molds are preheated and coated with release agent to avoid adhesion and uneven cooling defects.Molten copper fills mold cavities via designed runners under gravity or low pressure. After full solidification, rough castings are demolded, then trimmed, shot blasted and polished to remove excess runners, flash and surface burrs. The casting technology can form complex integrated structures that are hard to finish by single machining, supporting small-batch customized production and large-scale mass manufacturing at the same time.
